Update, 9 April 2010: I thought I'd take Jess' suggestion, and submit this image for Garden Gone Wild's Picture This Contest for April 2010. The theme for April is 'Green World' - and this Giant Allium does seem to be it's own exploding green planet, don't you think? The judge for April's contest is Rob Cardillo. I've not submitted an image to this contest before, but have always admired previous entries.
What a fabulous shot, Pam! It looks like something from another world, doesn't it?

What a great shot! Yes, I too have found that close-ups reveal a lot more green than I usually notice.

totally a green planet..love this shot..i would't ave noticed this much green in Allium otherwise...
