Happy Holidays from the Microbial Laboratory! 

May you have a holiday season rich in beneficial microorganisms, with reduced use of anti-microbials (toss that anti-bacterial soap!), and abundant diversity!

Yes, several days ago the lab prepared test-tubes of 'paint' (microorganisms isolated from coral reefs) and applied them to canvases (glycerol artificial seawater agar plates).  Look closely at our 'microbial palette' of 'fat fluffy white' and 'orange yellow fat' and 'dull gold'...
