This morning when I went outside with Stanley, he had a bit of difficulty with the snow - although he was quite determined. It had warmed up yesterday to about 40F, and then last night everything froze again - and so there was a strong top crust of snow - just strong enough to hold him up for a while before his paws broke through the crust and sunk down into the snow. It was an arrhythmic two-step: a soft step followed by a distinctly crunchy one.
It's been a nice little adventure for this southern dog.
(And might I add THANK GOD that the Pointer Sisters did NOT come along?)
