"Where's the ball? What, you didn't bring it out with you? What's up with that? How could you? Well, aren't you going back in to get it? There's no heron in the creek, so I need that ball. What else is an insanely hyperactive dog supposed to do? So come on, go and get the ball. I'm waiting."
Annabelle Lee, the charming new old girl that ate a raw chicken breast this afternoon, yes one that had been marinated in fresh tangerine juice, garlic, a little bit of lime and soy sauce. I think she gobbled it whole, in an instant. Almost reminds me of...oh, never mind.
David Perry, over at A Photographer's Garden Blog, asked folks to show him what was outside their windows - in 15 minutes or less. I must admit that I cheated: it was the first sunny morning (without fog) that we've had in awhile, so I took the images from the deck (which is about 12' off the ground since my home is on stilts). The deck goes across the front and along one side of my home. So I didn't look through a window, but it was such a nice day that I thought you'd understand.
Looking out from the left end of the front deck, towards the back: a live oak tree and an airstream. Here's another view of the live oak, when it got pruned over a year ago now.
