I just love how the leaves are so neatly packed within the curl of the frond, so perfectly placed - they amaze me each time I see them.
The garden is bursting.
Tiny leaves of the pomegranates and dogwoods are popping out, the variegated artemesia is up - and the japanese irises are emerging.
In a few days to a week, all of the azaleas will be in bloom.
There was a wonderful rain today, along with a line of thunderstorms. I learned that the New Wild Dog gets a bit nervous when there is a loud clap of thunder.
The next two nights are supposed to be below freezing. Just below.
