For awhile now, I haven't shown any interesting moth images, primarily because in the morning, when I go out my front door to free the dogs and walk the Ancient Wonder Beagle, there simply has not been any interesting moths around. But this morning, as I walked outside - I looked up and saw these two specimens. Of course, I have no idea what they are - I have no scientific name to present, nor any details regarding their habits - and most likely I'll forget to look them up when the day draws to a close. But for now, on this Monday morning, I find them quite interesting. Diversity - simple diversity in the absence of knowledge on function (do we always need to know what something does? do we always need a purpose?) - is something that I've always found fascinating.
